Governance
Governance are responsible for the management of the academy.
We are a part of the Co-op Academies Trust, which is a multi academy trust. Our Trust Board is legally responsible for the effective running of the whole Trust. To learn more about trust-level governance, please visit our Trust’s central website here.
Our Academy Community Council (ACC) is made up of our Community Council Members (CCMs) who are responsible for ensuring a high-quality student experience that meets the needs of our local community. Learn more about them below.

Our Community Council Members
Gary Dewin - Chair of ACC
Gary has been a Governor at the Academy since 2016 and was appointed the Chair of Governors in 2019.
He lives in West Yorkshire and has two fast growing-up children, with one doing A levels and the other soon to complete her degree at Huddersfield University.
Gary has worked for the Co-op for over 15 years. His People Director role means he has specific responsibility for Reward, Pensions, Employee Relations & Wellbeing for the Co-op’s 62,000 colleagues. Gary passionately believes that everyone deserves to fulfil their potential and is fully committed to ensuring our Academy provides pupils with the best learning experience possible.

Sarah Keane
Sarah Keane is a member of the Local Governing Body and is the link governor for SEND and CLA.
She works at Co-op, and is the Lead People Partner for Co-op Legal Services. Sarah has a strong HR Change and leadership background, and is also a Co-op Coach.
