Uniform Change 2024/25

Dear Parents/Guardians,

I hope this letter finds you and your family well. As we prepare for the upcoming academic year, we would like to inform you of some optional changes to our school uniform policy that will take effect from September.

After careful consideration and consultation with students, parents, and staff, we have decided to update our school uniform to ensure that it continues to reflect our academy values of pride, equity, and hard work. These changes aim to provide a more comfortable and practical attire for our students, whilst maintaining a smart and consistent appearance.

From September students may wear a Co-op Academy Leeds branded jumper instead of a blazer if they choose to. The jumpers are available from Jo Brand and cost £19.99.

Additionally, we have relaxed our rules on footwear and from September students may now wear trainers to school provided that they are all black.

Please see the attached leaflet for more information about jumpers and school shoes.

Our expectations around PE kit remain the same; students must wear their Co-op Academy Leeds PE kit on the days they have PE. Other items of clothing are not acceptable, this includes other branded sportswear.

It is important that all students arrive at school each day with a bag and pencil case with equipment; equipment is available to buy in school should your child need it, but students are expected to arrive at lessons with equipment and will be sanctioned where this is not the case.

Thank you for your continued support and cooperation as we strive to enhance our academy community. We look forward to seeing our students proudly wearing their uniform in September.

Best Wishes

Natalie Jones
