The Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) is calling for young people to partner with a parent, grandparent, or guardian to enter a competition that helps to make crucial connections between civil engineering, nature and the arts.

There are five categories to choose from:

1. Poetry

2. Songs (with or without instruments)

3. Photography

4. One-minute short film

5. Painting, drawing or collage in 2D (excluding digital art)

The competition is inspired by Prof. (Dr) Anusha Shah’s presidential theme for the year, 'Making connections for a nature and people-positive world', which encourages engineers to keep nature and people at the heart of infrastructure solutions.

How to enter

The competition closes at 11.59pm on Thursday 12 September 2024.

Finalists will be announced on the ICE’s social media channels on Friday 20 September 2024.
