Selling samosas at Burmantofts Senior Action spring fair
As part of their work in the local community with The Archbishop of York’s Youth Trust award five of our Year 8s spent the afternoon at St Agnes’ Church hall.
Local community group, Burmantofts Senior Action had organised a spring fair for local residents with food stalls, bric-a-brac and stands from local organisations like East Street Arts and West Yorkshire Fire Brigade.
Our students were on hand to sell samosas and spring rolls, as well as lend a hand on the charity tombola and raffle.
It was a fantastic afternoon which was finished off brilliantly with Year 8 Eddie being given the honour of announcing the winner of the ‘guess how many sweets there are in the jar’ game.
