Knife crime workshops and assemblies with Sarah Lloyd

Knife crime workshops and assemblies with Sarah Lloyd

In 2013, Sarah Lloyd’s 17 year old son, Kieran was murdered in Harehills during a knife attack.

Now she uses her experience, to speak to young people about the dangers of carrying a knife.

She visited the academy and ran workshops with our students to educate them about the devastating effects of knife crime. Our students were visibly touched by Sarah’s story, and engaged so well with the difficult subject.

Sarah strongly believes that our community can make a valuable contribution to the fight against knife crime in Leeds and beyond. We were honoured to welcome her to the academy.
